Church adopts hospital ward

By Staff Reporter

Tinenyasha Charity Arm (TCA) a social responsibility arm of New Creation Life Ministries recently adopted the female medical ward at Kwekwe General Hospital.

The adoption came to light when a team of representatives from TCA donated the medical institution. The foundation gave an assortment of items comprising of bed sheets, quilts, pillows, bins, and rexine pillow cases.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Kwekwe General Medical Superintendent Dr. Tinashe Gunda expressed his gratitude to the church for extending a helping hand.

“Thank you for adopting the Female Medical Ward (FMW). It’s always good to see a church giving back to the community; it’s a good gesture that encourages us all. We look forward to future interactions as our partnership blossoms,” he said.

TCA was founded by Pastor Mary Museba, wife to the visionary of NCL Apostle Joy Museba. Pastor Mary’s mandate is to spread the love of Christ to all disadvantaged members of society, being guided by Proverbs 31:20 which says ‘she extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.’ Pastor Mary believes that the love of Christ in action can change the world. The organization has over the years assisted with paying school fees for up to the tertiary level of several students. During the peak of the Covid 19 lockdown periods, the foundation assisted families with groceries. Not only this, but it has even gone to the extent of visiting and assisting prisoners and the elderly who reside at various old-age institutions.

Priscilla Mutyanda TCA head of delegation said that the donation that they made was only the first fruit of the partnership between TCA and the hospital.

“The second day of August is our visionary’s birthday and this year she chose to celebrate her birthday differently. To express her love she chose to adopt the female ward. Giving love is an action; it is how we express the love of God. Our mother is a true definition of love; she is the Dorcas of our time; because of her love we are witnessing the partnership of TCA with Kwekwe General particularly the female ward. We are optimistic about the future and how we can together make the female ward a safe haven for our mothers, sisters and daughters,” she said.

Sister in Charge of the Female Medical Ward Sister Hita was ecstatic and could not hide her joy at the development.

“Thank you for adorning our female medical ward. I cannot fully express my gratitude for your intervention. Your timely assistance will go a long way in making our patients more comfortable,” she said.
