17 860 people voted in Kwekwe Central Constituency today.

Kwekwe Central Constituency Chief Elections Officer Edmund Magaya revealed the statistics in an interview with this publication.

“At the close of voting at 7pm it was peaceful no incidents were recorded. 8 937 females and 8 923 males voted in Kwekwe Central Constituency bringing the total to 17 860 voters.

35 females who are blind came through with male counterparts adding to 97. Illiterate voters who were assisted were 26 males and 66 females. Total voters were 17 860 against 26418 initially registered voters,” said Magaya.

Magaya said all polling stations in Kwekwe Central opened at 7am and closed at 7pm.
