Voting in Mbizo ended with a total of 24 101 casting their votes today.

According to Mbizo Constituency Election Officer Hondoyenzomba 12 679 female voted against their male counterparts who totalled 11 422.

“The total that voted is 24 101 against 35 438 registered voters. Assisted blind voters totalled 155 with 62 being male and 93 being female.

103 assisted illiterate voters came through and 37 males voted. 155 voters were turned away for various reasons whilst 280 were redirected,” he said.
