Two Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists who are facing charges of holding an unsanctioned rally had their application for discharge dismissed by Kwekwe Magistrate Mildred Matuvi today.

Nkosilathi Emmanuel Moyo and Albert Marashe are facing charges of contravening Section 7 of the Maintenance of Peace and Order Act (MOPA).

Magistrate Matuvi said the two have a case to answer hence they will appear in court on the 6th of September 2023 for trial.

The pair was arrested in July after allegedly holding  an unsanctioned procession in Mbizo.
Moyo and Marashe were allegedly  part of the team carrying out a procession in Mbizo leading to the arrest.
