A Kwekwe man allegedly murdered his wife’s lover on Saturday in Msasa in a suspected spate of jealousy.

Admire Murima allegedly killed Talent Chimiso (31) whom he suspected of having an extramarital affair with his wife Fiona Pangeti.

According to sources Chimiso and Pangeti were both employed as garden boy and maid at a house in Link Drive, Msasa, Kwekwe.

The incident is said to have happened on 14 October 2023 at around 1700 hours, after the husband went to Chimiso’s workplace in Msasa, Kwekwe.

Sources said when he got to the house he found Chimiso and Pangeti in a one-roomed cottage and an argument arose as Murima accused the pair of cohabiting as husband and wife.

“During the argument, Pangeti left the two and proceeded to call Chimiso’s brother in law Nevison Jazi who stays in the same area. Pangeti and Jazi came to the house, found the cottage screen door locked from outside and Murima was no longer there. Jazi discovered that Chimiso was lying in a pool of blood and went on to inform Cleopas Sibanda.

When Sibanda and Jazi returned, they found Pangeti gone, broke the screen door padlock to gain entry, and discovered that Chimiso had died. Sibanda made a police report at ZRP Kwekwe Central,” said the source.

The source said Chimiso was half-dressed and had a stab wound on the left breast.
