A ‘sexual escapade’ with a 15 year old child ended tragically for a 24 year old man who was murdered by the girl’s other boyfriend (18) in Mberengwa on Monday.

According to police the murder occurred in the Northwood Suburbs of Mberengwa during the night of 16 October 2023.
“It is alleged that the deceased Kisto Manyause(24) was a co-tenant with a 15 year old girl whom he fell in love with.
The 15 year old girl also fell in love with John Ray Zulu, now a suspect in this matter. This did not go well with Kisto Manyause who threatened the suspect with unspecified action, said Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
“On 16 October 2023 at around 2300 hours, Zulu went to the 15 year old girlfriend’s room armed with an okapi knife and spent the whole night there.
On 17 October 2023 at around 0455 hours the suspect met Kisto Manyause in the passage and an altercation ensued. The suspect withdrew a knife from his trouser’s pocket, stabbed Kisto Manyause twice and fled. Kisto Manyause bled profusely and became unconscious,” said Mahoko.

ZRP Mberengwa attended scene and found Manyause already dead. The suspect was arrested and the dead body is currently at Mberengwa Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

Police urged girl children not to engage in premature relationships.

“We urge the girl child not to engage in premature sexual relationships as they usually have a bitter ending. We also appeal to members of the public to solve disputes amicably and to respect the sanctity of human life,” said Mahoko.
