An unknown gang of robbers who pounced on a Kwekwe family ended up killing an 85 year old farm owner and raping two women on 16 January 2024 around 2030hours.
Black Henry Karonga died after being attacked by the robbers at his Greenharm Farm, Kwekwe.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident.

According to Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Karonga was sleeping in his dining room with his other family members sleeping in other rooms when a group of intruders wearing face masks broke into the farm house.
They allegedly proceeded to the dining room and found Karonga sleeping on the sofa. One of them struck Karonga twice -on the forehead and on the chest, killing him instantly.

“The intruders ransacked the whole house and took cash amounting to USD$65, an Itel P57 and Kgtel cellphones. Two of the men went toa room where two women were sleeping, tied them with electric cables and raped them. The gang went upstairs where they broke a safe and stole it’s contents. Exact things taken from the safe are yet to be established. The criminals then took car keys ofthe complainants’white Nissan sedan motor vehicle which was parked in the yard and drove away,” said Mahoko.

Mahoko said they are appealing to members of the public who might have information that can lead to the arrest of the culprits in this case to help.
He also said may members of the public be on the lookout for a white Nissan Sedan motor vehicle registration number AFO 6463.
