A man was found murdered yesterday morning near Kwekwe City Council Housing offices, Mbizo.

Police identified the man as Telmore Mutetwa and the body was taken to Kwekwe General Hospital mortuary.

According to police the body of a male adult wearing a blood soaked red T-shirt, a navy blue worksuit, khakhi and black shorts was discovered lying facing upwards by a passerby.

Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said police inspected the body and noted that it had deep stab wounds on the head, eye, shoulder, neck and on the back.

The deceased was positively identified by his sister.

Police investigations are in progress and the authorities are appealing to anyone with information.

“We are appealing to members of the public who might have information that can lead to the arrest of the culprits in this case to approach any nearest police station,” said Inspector Mahoko.
