Three people escaped death and sustained various injuries in a road traffic accident in Gokwe on 9 May 2024 at the 90 km – peg along Kwekwe-Gokwe Road in Gokwe.

Midlands Police Spokesperson Emmanuel Mahoko said on 9 May 2024 at 0500 hours, Melusi Pasi (51) was driving a red Isuzu KB250 double cab motor vehicle, carrying two passengers.

“Upon reaching the 90km peg, the vehicle veered off to the right side of the road and landed in a ditch. All occupants including the driver were injured.

Police attended the scene and all casualties were taken to Gokwe Hospital for medcal attention,” he said.

Mahoko said police appeals to motorists to avoid speeding and exercise caution when on the roads.
