Chief Gobo burial set for Saturday

The burial of the late Silobela traditional leader, Chief Gobo has been set for Saturday.

Chief Gobo born Clever Musindo Machona will be buried at Village Machona, Gobo area, Silobela.

Chief Gobo died on Monday at Gweru General Hospital following  a kidney.. failure.

Family spokesperson Denisio Mashatise said Chief Gobo was born on  24 December 1960 in Silobela where he did his primary education.

“He went to Gobo Primary in 1967 to 1974. He never did secondary education as he became a bricklayer in 1979 at Agritex, Silobela.
In 2021 he was installed as chief and he has been doing zunde ramambo projects to assist his subjects,” he said.

Mashatise said as a family and community the death came as a shock and it is a great loss.

“As a family this is a great loss, the Chief was a unifier and provider even the community has greatly lost as he was a leader per excellency,” he said.
He is survived by five children,  Fara, Grace, Shinga, Kudakwashe, Panashe and wife Sarudzai Chikeremu.
