Kwekwe gold miner, Austin Maisva (35) and three other alleged accomplices, Phillip Mashizha of Village Tshuma, Chief Samambwa, Prosper Makaya (22) of Rimuka, Kadoma and Noel Lemani (23) of Village Cherima, Chief Neuso, Sanyati appeared at the Kwekwe Magistrates yesterday for routine High Court remand following charges of murder.
The four who are facing charges of murder were remanded out of custody to 30 June 2026.
According to State papers the four together with two other accomplices, Emmanuel Nyazika and Obedience Maponga allegedly assaulted Lennon Obert Manguza with wooden sticks on his back, buttocks and thighs resulting in his death.
It is said that they left the deceased lying on the ground and went away. It is said Manguza was assisted by other mine workers who lifted him to a cabin and died from the alleged assault.
The routine remand was branched from the High Court.
