A ZB bank teller, Tatenda Albert Mudzingwa (31) who was being charged with fraud was cleared yesterday after the State withdrew charges against him following lack of evidence.
He appeared before magistrate Samukeliso Gumbo yesterday.
Charges against him were withdrawn by the State represented by Nyasha Hloka after it said there was not enough evidence against Mudzingwa.
Nyasha Hloka representing the State said that, “according to the investigating officer, there were four complainants that had reported the matter and they all alleged that they gave their cards to Cosmas Bhudhe who is still at large and hence the state does not have enough evidence to continue with trial.”
She also said that the investigating officer told prosecution that the bank had not yet issued evidence that show the accounts that were tampered with.
