Eagles College in Kwekwe has once again demonstrated academic excellence by achieving a 100% pass rate in the 2024 Advanced Level Cambridge examinations.
This marks the fourth consecutive year the institution has maintained this remarkable standard since its inception in March 2021.
All 15 candidates who sat for the 2024 Advanced Level exams managed to secure at least two A Level passes or better.
Among the high achievers is LivingGod Munanga, who earned an impressive 13 points with an A in Mathematics, and Bs in Physics and B in Chemistry.
“This is a milestone achievement, given the rigorous nature of Cambridge exams and their stringent grading system, where an A starts at 80% and a B at 70%,” said the college’s Principal Trust Mugwagwa.
The principal attributed this success to the dedication and hard work of both teachers and students.
“The learners have performed exceptionally well across all three areas of study: Sciences, Commercials, and Arts,” he added.
Eagles College has also recently been accredited as a Cambridge Centre, allowing the institution to administer its own exams. This achievement places the school among just over 200 institutions in Zimbabwe and makes it the second high school in Kwekwe to earn this distinction. The accreditation, granted on 5 August 2024, highlights the school’s rapid progress in just three years of operation.
In addition to its academic milestones, the school has completed the construction of a state-of-the-art primary school along Mvuma Road, which is set to open on 14 January 2025. This development will allow the institution to move its junior school operations from rented properties to its own premises, further solidifying its commitment to providing quality education.
“These achievements reflect our dedication to excellence and our mission to nurture future leaders,” said Mugwagwa.
