A Form 3 student was found lying dead outside a nightclub in Torwood, Redcliff yesterday.

Police identified the student as Sindiso Hlazo (17). According to Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the boy left home around 1100 hours on 21 July 2023 after he was sent to Swartlage Farm by his brother.

“The following day around 0100 hours Hlazo was seen drinking beer at Chilax Nightclub in the company of unknown men. On the same date at around 0230 hours, the bar attendant heard from patrons that there was a body of a male juvenile lying outside the club. The bar attendant discovered that it was the same boy she had seen in the nightclub,” said Mahoko.

He said police attended the scene and it was noted that he was bleeding from the right ear.

Mahoko said no arrests were made as yet and he appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
