Meanwhile, in a separate case, a 58-year-old Munyati man, Charles Ncube, appeared in court on 9 April after slapping his wife, Beauty Moyo, during a domestic dispute over the radio volume.
The incident occurred around 6am at Munyati Supply Compound. Ncube had just returned home and switched on the radio, prompting an argument with his wife, which escalated into physical violence. He was arrested shortly after the incident.
Ncube pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence and was sentenced to 30 days in prison. However, the sentence was wholly suspended on condition that he does not commit a similar offence within the next four years.
