A shocking display of violence erupted at Big Bar in Mbizo 7, Kwekwe, as a man unleashed a brutal assault on a local sex worker in a fit of jealousy and frustration. On the night of October 19, 2024, Godknows Nyevere Nyamadzawo was arrested after savagely beating Babra Caly Mandema with fists and open hands when she allegedly refused to accompany him to his home, having taken up another client despite his payment.

According to eyewitnesses, tensions flared when Mandema informed Nyamadzawo that she would fulfill his request later that evening, as she had other commitments with a different client. The enraged Nyamadzawo responded with a shocking act of violence, pummeling Babra repeatedly until two bystanders intervened and rescued her from his relentless assault.

Facing Magistrate Mildred Mutuvi, Nyamadzawo pleaded guilty to the assault charge. He received a four-month prison sentence, though two months were suspended on the condition he refrains from any assault-related offenses for the next four years. The sentence was commuted to 70 hours of community service at Dambudzo Primary School.
