Kwekwe to swear in councillors today

Kwekwe City Council will today swear in councillors elect at council chambers.

Kwekwe has 14 council wards and 12 were won by CCC and two by Zanu PF. Four other councillors made it through the proportional representation system to bring the total to 18.

The following will be sworn in Alex Senge (Ward 1), Murapiro Albert (Ward 2), Msipa Pikurai (Ward 3), Tagara Joseph (Ward 4), Melody Chingarande (Ward 5), Courage Mugabe (Ward 6) Gwamuri Milton (Ward 7), Makomborero Edu Mlambo (Ward 8) Simon Machisvo (Ward 9), Madzorera Henry (Ward 10), Panyika Nyika (Ward 11), Thomas Mahapa (Ward 12), Alphonce Mugwagwa (Ward 13) and Albert Zinhanga (Ward 14).

Four other women who made it through proportional representation, Siziwe Ncube (CCC), Dieless Muradzikwa (Zanu PF), and Helena Mkosana a former deputy mayor together with Janet Ticharunga a former councilor made it through under the CCC ticket will also be sworn in.
