A yet to be identified man jumped to death from the roof of First Mutual Centre, Kwekwe early this morning.

The man in his late 20s was seen by passersby on top of the building who took video footage whilst others were begging him to get off the roof before he jumped.

It is not yet clear how the man got access to the building which is manned 24/7.

Police took the body to Kwekwe General Hospital mortuary.
