Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) councillor for ward 3, Redcliff Clayton Masiyatsva has retained the seat for mayoral post for the dormitory town.

Masiyatsva who was elected yesterday has been Redcliff’s mayor for the past term and he will be deputised by Vincent Shangwa Masiiwa of Ward 4.

In his acceptance speech, Masiyatsva said he is eager to finish the work his council started in the past term as well as solve other outstanding issues.

“We still have a lot of work to do. The road from Zisco to Batanai is still a work in progress, residents can not keep on being affected by dust. We will also deal with the billing system and high water charges, residents are complaining about that and we need to address it,” said Masiyatsva.
