A 17-year-old boy was found dead near Cheeky Tiger Night Club, Donga Business Centre, Shurugwi on 1 January 2024.

Tawanda Muzvihwi’s body was found around 2300 hours by a passerby near the club.

According to the police Muzvihwi and his friend, a 17-year-old  juvenile, of Mhuri village, Chief Nhema Shurugwi, were at Cheeky Tiger Night Club watching television. The friend left home and left his friend in the nightclub.

“At around 2300 hours on the same date, a passer-by saw the dead body of Tawanda Mazhihwi lying near Cheeky Tiger Night Club. He informed the police at Tongogara. During police scene attendance, it was observed that the body had a stab wound on the left side of the chest.

The body was taken to Shurugwi District Hospital,” said Inspector Mahoko.
