Police in Mvuma are investigating the horrific death of a 14-year-old boy, Ronald Dehwe, whose mutilated body was discovered recently in a bush at Village 14, Mavise.

The grim find was made by 20-year-old Maxwell Mpofu of Palgrave, Mvuma, who stumbled upon the body while searching for his goats.

According to Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the boy’s body was found with missing eyes, ears, and private parts, raising suspicions of a ritual killing.

“The discovery was made by a passer-by who alerted authorities. The body had missing eyes, ears, and private parts, which raises suspicions of a ritual murder. We appeal to the public to assist us in identifying the suspects involved in this heinous act,” said Inspector Mahoko.

The body of the deceased was taken to Mvuma Hospital for a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.

The police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible.

“We will be very grateful if the public can help us fully detect this murder and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Inspector Mahoko added.
