A Torwood man allegedly known for a series of violent attacks has finally been arrested and convicted after months of terrorising residents.
Orpheous Taderera, a young man from Torwood, Kwekwe, has been convicted of multiple assault charges dating back to August 2024.
According to court records, Taderera assaulted Anymore Mutambe on 16 August 2024 at Torwood Shopping Centre, striking him with an empty beer crate. On 7 April 2025, he allegedly slapped Mthandazo Moyo in the face at Chillax Club.
Just days later, on 18 April 2025, also at Chillax Club, Taderera allegedly shot Bornface Zivanai in the eye with a catapult. On the same day, he is said to have assaulted Moyo again, this time hitting him with a log, causing visible injuries.
