A gruesome discovery of a woman’s body with a missing upper lip was made at Gaika Mine in Kwekwe, sparking suspicions of a brutal murder.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident and launched an investigation into the killing.

The body, found lying face-up along a fire guard surrounding the mine on 1 October 2024, was discovered by Chrispen Muzembi, a 58-year-old security guard, during a routine perimeter check around 8:00 AM. Muzembi immediately reported the discovery to the authorities, who responded promptly.
