Zanu PF dominates Zibagwe Council

Zanu PF has restamped its domination of the Zibabgwe Rural District Council (ZRDC) after taking 29 seats in the just ended harmonized elections.

ZRDC has 33 seats in total and Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) took four seats.

Trust Bhomani, Basilio Mutosvori, Smart Ndhlovu, Hlamariso Chauke, Elliot Mutero, Emmanuel Tshuma, Alex Kaputeni, Emmanuel Sibanda, Josphat Mazhara, Brave Samu, Erasmus Machingura, Cafemol Moyo, Ncube Peter Albert Bafana, Shelton Machingami, Moyo Best, Cleto Chifana, Errol Deetlfes, Nevision Dube, Lovemore Ncube, Ephias Shoko, Manasa Matonsi, Artwell Dube, Freedom Nyani, Tichafa Chitate and Chamunogwa Zvishamira made it under Zanu PF ticket.

Willard Moyo who was initially elected as an opposition councilor in 2018 crossed the floor to Zanu PF in this election.

Idirashe Dongo and Forget Nyamudyambanje are the only women elected into ZRDC.

Four councilors made it under the CCC banner, Stanely Ndhlovu, Maqhawe Moyo, Collet Sibanda and Simbarashe Hlabati.

Ten women made it through the women’s quota. Zanu PF took seven seats, to be represented by Mhurai Muzunze, Tshengisiwe Dube, Geraldine Melusi, Yvonne Nyathi, Tendai Machingami, Rita Masiyambiri and Theresa Chamangwana.

CCC will be represented by Sindiso Mavhela, Manka Patricia and Artma Musaliwa.
